Death March

Today was the tough one - 19 miles from Belorado to Atapuerca.  We knew going in this was going to be the longest hike - the normal stopping point was 4 miles shorter but to get to a B&B we needed to keep going.  Our paws are barking - Jack's left knee is ticked off and Dianne's feet needed our massage gun to get them to stop screaming.

Another amazing dinner and we sat next to a lady from Holland who was spending 60 days on the Camino by herself.  She just retired at 66 and always wanted to make this trek.

Toughest part was long stretches at the end where we were on the highway with no shade.  We did climb almost 1,800 feet but that was not the toughest - the slope was not bad and we were in the forest with shade.

It's raining now which is really cool - gentle rain on the windows.

Tomorrow is just 11 miles into Burgos so pretty easy.
